Donating educational materials:
We also provide books, school furniture and other educational materials for young people and schools.
So, if you’ve any used (but good quality) things that you think would be useful and relevant for young people in Ghana to enhance their education, please consider donating them to us and we’ll make sure it gets to a needy school or community.
Please contact us to discuss and make arrangements.
Money Donations:
Please help us to cover our handling, transport and in-country costs.Contact us for further details.
Any donation will be most welcome but below are the costs of some of our activities:
  1. Sponsor a computer – To process and place a single computer in a school in Africa costs about £35.
  2. Sponsor a school – To equip a school with an e-learning laboratory of 10 PCs and a networked printer costs about £350.
  3. Sponsor a Community Project – to process and send a full shipment of at least 200 computers and printers and set them up in a group of
    schools costs about £6,000.

Lots of people of all ages donate their time and skills to do something really worthwhile, but we always need more volunteers to help with a wide range of tasks throughout the year.

You don’t need any experience or special skills – just a good attitude and lots of energy!

If you would like to get involved, we always need people to…

  1. test, fix and pack computers
  2. help raise funds for us to continue the good work
  3. assist with organising events
  4. write (e.g. publicity material for a variety of media, proposals, reports, etc)
  5. provide or drive a van
  6. give presentations to promote MakeIT4Africa and its work to professional
  7. travel to Ghana to help deliver and set-up equipment, and provide training for
    local facilitators and partners

If you can help in any of these ways (or maybe some other way?) then please consider volunteering – only one or two hours a week would be very much appreciated.

Please contact us to discuss what would suit you best.
