Opening up the digital world for young people in Northern Ghana

We give children and young people in Ghana access to computers, the internet and practical ICT skills, so they can learn, connect and build their own futures.

WHO WE ARE

Small charity, practical help

Chance for Africa is a Scottish registered charity (SC044936). We support community development among children, young people and disadvantaged groups in Ghana.

Our focus is education in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), designed around the realities of the communities we work with.

WHAT WE’VE DONE

Technology that changes what’s possible

01

30 young people connected

We built and delivered internet-ready, remote-learning-ready computers to around 30 young people in Northern Ghana.

02

A safer school computer lab

We supplied electrical cables and switches to help refurbish the computer lab at Sandabbi School, so children can learn safely.

03

A window on the world

With a computer and the internet, students reach learning materials, new information and people far beyond their own community.

WHY IT MATTERS

In many communities in Northern Ghana, books and learning materials are scarce, and what exists is often old or irrelevant. A computer and an internet connection change that. Young people can study further, find work, start businesses and become better-informed parents.

Every donation goes to the work

Chance for Africa is funded entirely by donations and holds no reserves. Whatever you give goes straight into equipment and learning for young people in Ghana.
